The Core Idea
Problem
Managing events and restaurants often involves fragmented tools and disconnected processes. Organizers face difficulties promoting events and selling tickets, while attendees deal with clunky booking systems and lack of visibility. Andrea Charles envisioned a unified platform that could streamline these experiences, empowering businesses and enriching user engagement through a centralized, dynamic app.
Our Approach
Andrea partnered with Doerz to build Wespr, a smart, scalable platform for event and hospitality management. Our goal was to integrate powerful features into a sleek, easy-to-use interface while maintaining high performance and reliability. Leveraging the LEAN Startup methodology, we focused on user validation at every stage, refining the product through continuous testing and feedback loops. Design Guide
Wespr features a polished, modern design that blends elegance with functionality. The dual-dashboard interface was created to provide clarity and experiences for both organizers and attendees. A refined color scheme supports branding across the event and hospitality industries, while clean typography and intuitive layouts enhance usability across devices.
Development
Built with modern tools and best practices, Wespr delivers a responsive and secure experience. The frontend is developed using React and React Native, while the backend is powered by Node.js, Firebase, TypeScript, and MongoDB. PostgreSQL and AWS manage data and cloud services, with Docker and microservices supporting scalability. Loopback was used for API management, and Figma served as the primary tool for UI/UX prototyping.

Wespr is now a fully functional mobile and web application that bridges the gap between event promotion, restaurant booking, and attendee engagement. Organizers can effortlessly manage listings, sell tickets, and communicate with users, while attendees enjoy a seamless browsing and booking experience, all within a single and elegant platform.
